Central Station Monitoring

United Alarm’s central station is locally owned and operated in Brookfield, CT. and is staffed by our employees 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We always have a direct link to your alarm system and our backup generator insures that we will be there when your alarm system notifies us of a problem. State of the art central station software can provide e-mail reports of alarm history or opening/closing of your business. Our central station responds to many different signals that require dispatch of fire or police authorities as well as notification to our customers and their primary key holders. Some of those signals are:

  • Burglary
  • Fire
  • Medical panic
  • Audible and silent panic buttons
  • High and Low temperature
  • Water level
  • Open and Close reports

The weak point to anyone’s security is the phone line. A typical alarm system transmits its signal to the central station over the phone line. If a burglar cuts the phone line, a storm takes down the phone wires or you lose phone service for any reason, the alarm system will still work (sounding a local siren) but the signal will not get through to the central station.

If you are concerned with a higher level of security, as many of our customers are, United Alarm has a proprietary long-range radio telephone backup network that can send signals to the Central Station in the event of an alarm, regardless of the phone line. United Alarm’s radio backup can be used with any alarm panel. Call us to find out more about long-range radio in your area.
